Eric Papin is Director of Innovation and Technical Development at Naval Group (ex DCNS). He has spent his entire career with Naval Group.
He joined the Group in 1990 as an architect of the propulsion systems of the nuclear launching submarines as “Le Triomphant”.
Five years later, he joined the Paris headquarters as an overall architect of submarines.
In 2000, he moved to the Naval Group Lorient site in the same functions within the engineering department.
In 2004, he headed the department of underwater architects.
From 2009 to 2011, he was responsible for the overall architecture and deterrence management for the submarines.
From the end of 2011 until today, he was a member of the executive committee of the Naval Group site in Nantes-Indret, first as Industrial Director and then as Engineering Director.
Eric Papin graduated from Ensta ParisTech in maritime engineering (1990), holds a DEA degree in mechanics (1990), and a master’s degree from Audencia (2007).
